It has been such an up and down kind of week on the scale. Yesterday I was actually 2 pounds up again. I was so disgusted I didn’t even do a blog entry, sorry for that. I’m over it now. I have to stay focused during this last week. I think this is likely to be the hardest week because I’m so ready to throw in the towel and move on to P3. But, I’m not going to do that. I have 6 more days of injections that I’m going to do, then my 3 VLCD days with no injections, then P3.
My meals yesterday: 1/2 apple mid-morning, 1/2 apple mid-afternoon. Baked tilapia and asparagus for lunch. Chicken chili for dinner.
Hopefully today will be a better day.

Whew, every day getting on the scale is a possible step closer to not reaching my goal for Round 1. I don’t like the last two weeks of this long round! Oh well. I’m still doing it. I’m excited that I’m about a week away from P3 – I need to sit down with a calendar and figure out the exact dates etc. Some of the first things I’m going to have: eggs, hamburger patty with cheese, salad with real dressing. And I will go nuts on the veggies I have been ignoring: yellow squash, eggplant, green beans. MMMMmmm. My mouth is ready.
My meals yesterday: 1/2 apple mid-morning, 1/2 apple mid-afternoon. For lunch I had baked sole and asparagus. For dinner I prepared grilled chicken over spring greens, but tasted a cherry tomato I had sitting on my counter – they were so incredibly delicious I had tomatoes with the chicken and just a bite or two of the greens. I got the tomatoes at Costco and I will be getting more this weekend they were so fabulous.

Better on the scale. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving yesterday. I love my family so much. Today, no cooking, YES!! Yesterday was hard – I had a few moments where I felt really sorry for myself, and I almost cried I wanted a piece of pie so bad LOL. That’s just ridiculous. But I didn’t have any, so good for me.
What I did have: 1/2 apple in the morning. I didn’t eat the rest of the day until the Thanksgiving meal except for a few celery sticks. I made one devilled egg from just mustard and some water (amazing after no eggs for a month) and some turkey soup made with turkey stock, celery, onion, and turkey breast. It too was amazing. I baked about 1/2 an apple in the oven with stevia and cinnamon. So I had good food just like everyone else.
Today, I can kick back and relax, this is a very welcome day.

WTH! My first reaction is to be pissed, which I am. But I’m going to have to put it in a bubble and blow it away. I have to just take a mental step back (along with the step back with the gain, grrr) and just say to myself: It’s gonna be ok girl.
My meals yesterday: 1/2 apple mid-morning, 1/2 apple mid-afternoon. Sole and asparagus for lunch and chicken chili for dinner (2 cups chicken broth, a grilled chicken, a handful of chopped cabbage, roasted garlic, cumin, and chili powder).
Also to keep this in perspective…I am very thankful, on this day of giving Thanks, for my family and their continued health. I am thankful for the shelter over my head and the clothes on my back. I am thankful for the food in my pantry. I am thankful for the military men and women that dedicate their lives to fighting for our freedom. These things and so much more – we all have so much to be thankful for.
A very blessed Thanksgiving to you all!

Yahooo!! Yesterday was a great weight loss day. It’s a lot of fun to see a number that makes me *gasp* every now and then. It keeps me motivated. I spent the whole day cooking and cooking and cooking. Cooking with my Mom is one of my favorite things in the world! Today I will be cooking some more 🙂 and the rest of my family is coming in. We are going to have fun!
My meals yesterday: 1/2 apple mid-morning, 1/2 apple mid-afternoon. My homemade p2-friendly chicken soup for lunch. For dinner I placed some fresh asparagus on a sheet of foil, topped it with my tilapia, the juice of 1/2 lemon, salt, pepper, and fresh tarragon. I wrapped it up and baked it at 350 for 20 minutes. It was good but I’m to the point that I don’t enjoy the protocol food so much anymore, I just eat it anyway. I think I’ve said that before. It’s getting worse. I always enjoy soup though, and I’ll think I’ll make some tonight.
I’m really close to the 34 pound max for this round! When – and notice I say “when” – I lose 7 more pounds I have to stop P2 and move to P3. I am SO looking forward to that day and will be doing a happy dance to say the least.

Wow, I’m actually relieved to see .2. My day was kind of out of control. I had my 1/2 apple mid-morning. My Mom and I left to do some shopping around 11:30. I meant to stick some grilled chicken in my purse before we left but I totally forgot – so I didn’t have lunch until 3:00, which is really late for me! I was pretty grouchy by that time. When we got home I literally inhaled my 100 grams of grilled chicken. I didn’t even have anything with it. I didn’t have my afternoon apple. And no pictures of my food today, sorry.
For dinner we went out to eat at Houlihans. I really tried to find something other than beef – but the grilled chicken and grilled shrimp they have is marinated in a mixture that has oil (they were very gracious in answering all my questions). So I had 1/2 of a hamburger patty, lettuce, onions, a small slice of pickle, and some grilled asparagus. I didn’t have anything that’s completely off protocol, but the combination of veggies is questionable. Anyway, I’m ok with a .2 loss. Today, back to preparing my own food.
