Tuesday yay – I get to see MSGC tonight, woo hoo!  I’ll float through the whole day.  Hopefully I’ll actually get some work done.  I’ll have to get work and bury myself in tasks so I get through the day.

I had to make another cake for work last night too – this time I made my favorite strawberry cake.  I’m not sure I’ll be able to resist having a piece of it – we’ll see.  Also if you haven’t noticed I’m not that freaked about my being around 2 pounds over LIW.  I seem pretty steady with my weight and if this is where I stabilize then so be it.

My meals yesterday:  Coffee with heavy cream for breakfast, that’s it.  For lunch I had tom kha kai, which is a delicious thai soup with coconut milk, chicken, mushrooms, tomatoes, and lemongrass.  I passed on the rice – but the soup was rich, yummy, and filling.  For dinner I snacked on brisket while I made the cake. I didn’t even have anything else with it.

I’ve said it before – I always look at the search terms that bring people to my blog.  Yesterday someone searched on “what is TRHM” – so just to bring everyone up to speed, TRHM is “tall red headed man”, whom I was dating and whom I recently dumped due to unacceptable behavior.  In the past I would have made excuses for him, but no more, baby.  I have raised the bar.  I am worthy and deserving of much more than that.

As I mentioned in my last couple of posts, I do have a new man in my life – my sweet gentle cowboy (MSGC).  He took me out to dinner last night and we had a great time.  It’s hard to believe we’ve only been out twice because we are so comfortable around each other and it just feels natural and right.  Life is good.  Hell, life is great.

I had leftover steak for breakfast, leftover steak again for lunch with brussel sprouts.  For dinner I had a salad with chicken, green chilis, cheese, tomatoes, and pico de gallo, and jalapeno ranch dressing.

I did not post yesterday (obviously) – I was SO exhausted – but I had an absolutely perfect birthday.  The guy I met at Gruene Hall Friday night called me Saturday morning and asked to take me out for my birthday.  I was so excited, I really like this guy.  He took me to the rodeo in Austin and then to a dance hall in Kyle – and we danced all night.   My date could not have been more perfect.  I will be spending time with this fellow and I’m very excited to have met him.  He’s very very sweet, sincere, has a great ass and a sexy voice, and he’s crazy about me.  And I’m crazy about him too!  I do believe that we were supposed to meet at Gruene Hall Friday night – something led both of us there (he doesn’t go there usually).  We were drawn to each other.  I can’t wait to see him again 🙂

And I’m telling you that after the mess with TRHM I’m quite happy to have moved on.

So I’ve indulged over my birthday weekend – I had eggs benedict yesterday and a cream puff (amazing!!).  I’ve done well with my weight though – just 1.8 pounds over LIW.  Today I’ll do strict low carb.

LOL figures.  It’s my fault.  I went out last night to Gristmill and Gruene Hall.  I was really good at dinner (grilled chicken, green beans, squash) until dessert.  Because it’s my birthday they brought me strawberry shortcake and cuss was it good!  Birthday girl deserves a little cake after all.  I also drank a couple of Shiner Bocks at Gruene Hall.

Had a *blast* at Gruene Hall, as usual.  I met a very nice man who seemed quite enamored with me and we spent the whole evening chatting.  He’s already sealed the deal so to speak – he asked me out – and I said yes.  I’m looking forward to getting to know him better, he seems very sincere and sweet.  And he dances.  And smells great 😉

All in all this evening out was just what the doctor ordered.  I needed some male attention and I got exactly that.

It’s going to be a glorious day my friends!

Cuss yeah!  Back on LIW exactly.  We’ll see if that lasts.

My meals:  a pork chop for breakfast.  Fajita salad for lunch with:  lettuce, beef, chicken, tomatoes, cheese, avocado, salsa.  Dinner was a left over hamburger patty with bell peppers and mushrooms. 

I also made some cocoa crack last night – I was craving something sweet.  It was alright.  I’d rather have a Reeses cup 😉


R2 P3 Day 1: -1.6 TOM

My resolve to do a mini steak day lasted all of about an hour.  I was cussin’ starving on my way to work so I stopped at a Jim’s (which is a local version of IHOP, only better) and had two eggs and a 5 oz sirloin steak (obviously I made the decision to treat this day as a P3 day).  Turkey and green beans for lunch.  For dinner I made hamburger patties topped with sauteed bell peppers and mushrooms, and oven roasted asparagus.  God I love P3 🙂  It’s always such a relief to get there.

And this week of all weeks – I’m already emotional – more drama with TRHM.  He actually emailed me and admitted that he had been lying to me, which of course I already knew, but seeing his explanation in an email just made me really terribly sad.  So I let myself cry (alot), and now it’s done done.  “Done done” is different than just “done”, in case you’re wondering.  Done done means no looking back. Eyes ahead.  Open heart, open mind.

C’mon Friday!!  I’m going dancing tomorrow!  And dining!  My girlfriend and I are going out to Gruene to celebrate my birthday.  Woo hoo!


R2 VLCD Day 43: +2 TOM

TOM has arrived, I was right on the money.  I’m not going to freak over the gain,  it’s TOM related and it’ll come off.  Today is my last VLCD day and I’m contemplating doing a mini steak day.  Actually I think I will give it a shot.  So onward with the day.

My meals yesterday:  Nothing in the morning.  Sashimi for lunch.  3 dirty vodka martinis at a work related happy hour.  4 oz filet mignon with salad for dinner. 

I had a blast at happy hour and I don’t regret indulging in the martinis at all.  What girl wouldn’t have a blast having drinks with three good looking men??  It was fun 🙂   I took care yesterday morning to dress up and look gorgeous.  I haven’t seen one of the guys in months and when he saw me his eyes got big and his mouth dropped – he didn’t say anything until later but the expression on his face said puh-lenty!   And what he said later, after leaning kind of close to my ear, was:  You look absolutely fantastic. 

It was awesome.
