R2 P2: Week 4/5 Summary and Measurements

I am a promoter of the cycling break for a long round – the long round is SO cussing challenging.  I know from my first round that losses slow down during weeks 4-6 and mentally that is difficult.  The break did amazing things for my mind set 🙂  And hell-to-the-yeah on my losses!

I lost a total of 7.8 pounds this week.  And 1/2 inch each from:  upper chest, bust, midriff, right thigh, left thigh.  1.5 inches from my waist – for a grand total of 4 inches lost this week.

There are several milestones that I reached this week that are worth noting:  1)  I’m in the 150’s, which I was dreaming of!  2) I hit the 50 pound mark of weight lost this week 3)  My waist measurement  is no longer in the 30’s 4) I can now wear my size 10 jeans 🙂

Check out these numbers – 37.9 inches lost since I started.  This is amazing stuff people!

R2 P2: Week 3, Summary and Measurements

February 9, 2010

Week three was far better than week two. My head is in the right place this week and I’m feeling good about my   progress.  Actually I feel great physically as well.  Life is good!  I am ready for the 150’s and as I stated before I will honor the occasion, once I’m there, with a poem.

I lost a total of 4.2 pounds during week three.  Also lost 1/2 inch each from:  Chest, bust, midriff, waist, hips for total 2.5 inches for week three.  I am sorry to see that 1/2 inch go from my bust – I had been holding pretty steady in the boob area.  Oh well!

R2 P2: Week 2, Summary and Measurements

February 1, 2010

Week two sucked! TOM screwed me up MAJORLY; this is by far the absolute worse P2 week I’ve ever had. I only lost an additional 1.4 pounds. It’s not affecting my determination or my goal, but it will definitely affect the length of this round. Grrr. Oh well, girl, put it in a bubble and blow it away.

BUT – some pretty amazing things happened with my measurements.  This week I lost 1″ in my upper chest, 1″ in my midriff, 1.5″ in my waist, and 1.5 inches in my hips.  That’s way more than a measly 1.4 pounds.  I think my body is playing catchup to the huge losses of week 1.  Small message to my body:  You’ve done well.  You’ve had a little rest.  Time to up the game, sister, and GET WITH IT!

R2 P2: Week 1, Summary and Measurements

Ok, week 1 is behind me. I was glad in R1 when week 1 was over, and this round is no different.  I’ve felt a little wobbly, mentally trying to get myself in the zone.  It’s like I’m doing this, no matter what, and the whole time my brain is going “FOR REAL???? AGAIN???”.  Regardless – 11.1 pounds down, which included around 4 pounds of load weight.  Not too shabby!  And this week I’ve lost 1 inch in my waist and 1 inch in my hips – all of my other measurements are the same.  Week 2?  Bring it.

Week 5 Summary and Measurements

November 30, 2009

Talk about a sucky week.  My losses were disappointing, along with my measurements (I lost 1.5 inches at my hips, no other measurement changed).  I *REALLY* struggled during Thanksgiving; I almost feel like what good is perseverence and determination if the results aren’t there?  I lost a total of 1.5 pounds this week after all the rollercoaster weigh-ins.  BLAH!  I am feeling really negative and down today; which I think is quite obvious eh?  I’ll work on that.  My plan today:  1) drink a crapload of green tea and water, 2) play skipping my apple today by ear, based on my level of hunger, 3) Remind myself of my overall results and not just the results of one week.

In week 5 I lost .7% body fat, .3% BMI (total body fat lost: 4.8, total BMI reduction: 2.9). I’ve lost a total of 21.95 inches since VLCD Day 1.

Week 4 Summary and Measurements

November 23, 2009

Week 4 was a struggle.  I wound up with nice losses in the end but I was frequently frustrated.  Comparing this to other weeks, my pattern of loss was not that different, so it is my mind set that is different.  I am growing really really tired of this phase.  I’m ready to be done with Round 1.  I just want a hamburger patty with cheese dammit!!  🙂  I am VERY happy though, and determined to see this through, so see this through I shall.  Only two short weeks left. 

In week 4 I lost 1.6% body fat, .6% BMI (total body fat lost: 4.2, total BMI reduction: 2.6). I’ve lost a total of 20.45 inches since VLCD Day 1.

Week 3 Summary and Measurements

November 16, 2009

Week 3 down and never to be seen again.  At least until round 2 🙂  Week 3 went well, I saw some great losses until the last two days of the week.  In week 3 I lost .5% body fat, .8% BMI (total body fat lost: 2.8, total BMI reduction: 2). I’ve lost a total of 17.7 inches since VLCD Day 1.

I’m halfway through round one as of today.  I’m proud of what I’ve done so far!  Yet it seems like a long road ahead of me.  Thanksgiving is next week, which is going to be hard to say the least.  I will be strong and will not falter in my dedication.  I can do anything for (another) three weeks.
