One more day :-)

October 23, 2009

I’m only one day away from starting my HCG weight loss journey – I’m very excited and nervous!  I prepared my HCG this morning and it’s chillin’ out in the fridge.  I will take my first dose tomorrow morning.  Finally!  It seems like forever since I decided to do this – it’s been almost a month after all.   I know this is not going to be easy, I’m not expecting that, but I do expect success and dramatic changes.  I am not going to cheat.  I am going to eat to live, not live to eat, knowing that this is going to have a hugely positive impact in my life.

I have a pair of jeans hanging on the outside of my closet door to serve as inspiration – these are only one item of clothing that I am most looking forward to wearing again.  I spent a RIDICULOUS amount of money on them – they look like plain jeans from the front but the back has elaborate Oriental themed embroidery from the butt down to the mid-thigh.  They are beautiful – the embroidery almost looks like tattoos.  I look at these and imagine putting them on, and what it feels like to put them on.

I think I’m also going to put a picture of me in my thin, gorgeous days on the fridge.  Can’t hurt huh?

It’s here!!!! Load day 1 will be Sat Oct 20! Yippee!

Yay!! Got the HCG yesterday.  Ironically I was so impatient yesterday that I ordered 2000 IU from a US source because I wanted to make sure I could start VLCD on Monday.  Little did I know that my shipment was sitting in my mailbox.  No worries, though,  I will just hang on to the extra.  I will need at least two rounds anyway – I need to lose 40-50 pounds.  I have a few more thing to purchase this weekend:  tape measure, digital scale, gel baby oil, oil free moisturizer and foundation.  For the moisturizer and foundation I’ll either go to Dillards and try the Clinique oil free products or go to Ulta and play with whatever they have.  I’m skeptical on finding an oil free foundation I like.  There are lots of dieters that use mineral makeup but I haven’t cared for it when I tried it.  So we’ll see what I come up with for that!!

So excited!!!  Cheers to losing!

Nothing new

No updates.  Still waiting.  Unless I have some major flash of inspiration or just need to vent I probably won’t update my blog until I either get the HCG or know where it is.  BLAH!

Arrgh

October 14, 2009

So freaking ready to get my HCG!  Yes, I’m admittedly a little OCD over it, just because I’m excited about the success that other people have had.  My tracking info from drugdelivery.ca doesn’t work at all, which apparently is not uncommon from everything I’ve read, so I have no idea where my shipment is.

I joined the hcgdietinfo forum, it has been great to see everyone’s posts and I can definitely see how valuable this forum could be when newbies like me have questions.  Another decision I have made is to start this protocol with the injections, 200 IU daily.  I changed my mind because: 1) it appears that the people doing injections have less hunger, although I can’t prove it 🙂 ,  2) I have been practicing sublingual doses with sublingual liquid B-12 and it’s not easy to hold it in your mouth for 15 minutes – some do 15 minutes, some do 5, there are varying opinions on this.  3) I think with sublingual there is no guarantee of the actual absorption and dosage you are getting.  Oh, and 4)  injections are only once a day.  I’m a little nervous about the injections but I’m sure I’ll be fine – shots don’t bother me, it’s only a matter of getting over the hump of giving them to myself.

So I’m pretty much spending my time thinking about HCG, reading about HCG, and creating this vision in my mind of what it will be like to be the thinner me, what I will look like, and how it will feel to slip into those jeans that I haven’t been able to wear in 3 years.  That will be a wonderful moment!

Still waiting…

October 13, 2009

That’s right, still waiting for my HCG shipment.  Realistically it’s not overdue at this point – I’m expecting at least three weeks for delivery.  I’m just impatient!!  I’m continuing to do lots of reading and prep for the diet.  I ordered the HCG Gourmet Cookbook, which has some great ideas for meals using the very limited list of acceptable foods.  Still excited about starting this, I am ready.

Blessings to all!
